This will probably go down as one of our most successful NAB shows ever! We've picked up several new lines, the most significant one I can tell you about is AJA, but we will have more exciting news to share with you as the spring heads into summer. We also saw the launch of a new product line-up form Matrox, giving them affordable HD I/O devices at every price/ user level. At this years NAB the biggest and most important new product announcement for our customers is the Matrox MXO2 Mini. This under $500 wonder allows you to add full HD I/O (analog and HDMI) to your PC or Mac. ( Read More)

Well, other stations in the booth showed the MXO used in combination with Avid Media Composer. Avid? How did it work with the Avid? I thought only Avid hardware worked with Avid software. They showed me how it worked and it was pretty slick. Impressed all the Avid editors who saw it ( Read More)

Matrox’s CompresHD is the first product that I looked at this year and said “I want that.” It’s a $495 H.264 accelerator card based upon an Amberella chip that you can buy standalone, or will appear in various iterations of Matrox’s popular MXO products. ( Read More)

Matrox delivers another hardware solution for Mac video users, the portable MXO2 HD (high definition), SD (standard definition) I/O box. No need for a full I/O capture card and/or breakout box, and if you're on a laptop you can finally use an I/O solution without shelling out a few thousand dollars. ( Read More)
