For those of us using Apple's Final Cut Pro the Viewer is just fine for setting the in and out points of our clips. The Canvas serves its' purpose in allowing us to watch our sequences, and the ability to go to the Digital Cinema Desktop provides us with a good approximation of what our clients will view. The Matrox MXO box works in two modes. In Presentation mode, it is a scan converter. In Mastering Mode, the video signal is sent down DVI to the MXO, where it is sent out as a broadcast quality signal to a monitor. Read More
